The Sissy-Eared Mollycoddles
The Sissy-Eared Mollycoddles is a Chicago-based new music ensemble
The group, normally a trio specializes in works for voice, bağlama, guitar, bass, percussion, synth, electronics and crystal glasses.
Formed in 2007, SEMC is establishing itself as a premiere source for new music. In its first year, the group has commissioned works from several composers
and has plans for many more. SEMC has also announced its Young Composer's Competition, which seeks a new work for unique
orchestration from the winner. In a cooperative effort with Agmen Publishing, SEMC will be working on a program called "New Music for New Musicians",
which seeks to bring contemporary music literature to the younger generation, through their own performance and the commissioning of other composers to write
for musicians high school age and younger.
